Innovation Fund (IF)

Role: As MD of external initiatives, I managed the IF, our fireside chat series, Our Rundown Podcast, and more.

What I did: I took sales calls to discuss sponsorship of the IF and figured out IF Competition Logistics. Then, I led an amazing team to create our Innovation Fund Incubator Programming, that involved a bootcamp, office hours, and culminated in demo days, where our IF Winners pitched to VCs and angel investors. For each of these offerings, we sourced and secured speakers and mentors to lead workshops, mentor participants, and host office hours. We learned to convey our value proposition to said speakers and mentors effectively and market events.

Despite IF being such a large undertaking, I loved every minute of it because of how impactful my work felt. We were able to trail founders from the IF first round of interviews to their demo day presentations and really see the difference we were making in their product iterations or pitches, for example. The IF taught me what a people person I am.
