Her Toolbox was created to expose high school girls to industries where they are historically underrepresented. We will be teaching these students industry basics with our product oriented curriculum. At the end of the one week bootcamp, girls will have developed technical skills, projects to show, and hopefully a newfound interest in pursuing Finance or UX design as a future career. We hope to expand to employ other college students to teach other subjects and grow this into a supportive community where we can connect girls to more resources.
Grace Cen, Co-Founder
Hi, my name is Grace, and I am an Economics and Sociology student at Harvard University. I am so excited to meet you all and to help demystify this age old question of “How to find and evaluate businesses properly (startups to mid cap stocks),” which no one had taught me to even ask in High School!
A little about me: At Harvard, I am deeply involved in the finance community as an associate for Harvard Undergraduate Capital Partners (Venture Capital) and Smart Women Securities. This summer, I am also interning at Activus Capital Partners. Besides that, I'm a good cook, creative writer, and big sister to a 5 year old brother.
Zainab Ibrahim, Co-Founder
Hello, I’m Zainab, a student at CUNY Hunter College, majoring in Media Studies with a concentration in Emerging Media and minoring in Computer Science. I’m also part of the Women in CS community. I’ve always been interested in the fundamentals of Design as I completed my internship at LinkedIn, and got to learn more about the UX Design field, in general. I love to eat korean food, cheese and sleep non stop when I’ve nothing to do (technically this whole quarantine). I can’t wait to meet everyone in the program and share my knowledge and experiences with you! Let’s get designing!
